Ajith`s Billa 2 produced by In Entertainment and distributed by Aascar Films has taken a good opening. In Tamil Nadu the film has netted Rs 7.61 Crore on day one (July 13) of its release, which is fantastic.
Aascar Ravichandran who distributed the film in Tamil Nadu said: "I`m very happy withBilla 2`s response at the box-office. After the entertainment tax cut, the opening day collection for B2 is bigger than Ajith`s previous film. Remember, other than Ajith all are newcomers, there are no comedy tracks, no `gaana songs` and it is action-packed."
However, the film has been getting mixed response from the audience. Sunir Kheterpal the producer of the film says: "It is not a typical Ajith film still the audiences are thronging the theatres. I`m sure the film will gross anywhere between Rs 38 to Rs 40 cr in the opening weekend across India."
