Mahesh Manjrekar is Ajith’s enemy!

Top Bollywood writer, director and actor Mahesh Manjrekar has been cast as the main villain in Ajith’s untitled film directed by Vishnuvardhan for producer AM Ratnam.

The Maharashtrian Mahesh Manjrekar as a director shined in films like Vaastav,Astitva and Viruddh.

As a villain he created a ruckus in films like the recent Salman Khan hit Bodyguard and who can forget his mean character in Slumdog Millionaire?

Snowfall play games on the sets of Billa-2

Ajith’s Chakri Toleti directed Billa 2 shoot was held at Likani Palace, President of Georgia’s summer retreat. It was the first Indian film to be shot there.

Likani Palace shooting had to be reshot due to weather problems. Says a production unit member of Billa 2 : “‘ It was one hell of an experience for the entire cast crew to shoot in Sub Zero temperatures. But it was fun and though it was very difficult to shoot as it snowed, the snow added to the entire look of the film and it will look fabulous on screen.

Billa 2 is now in the final stages of post-production. The film should be ready for censor in the next couple of days. The film is slated to release on June 15.

Director Shankar watches Billa 2

A special screening of Billa 2 was arranged for director Shankar recently. Distributed by Aascar Films, Billa 2 is close to completion and will be ready to be released in the month of September. The special screening also was attended by director Chakri Toleti and Aascar Ravichandran. A clearly impressed Shankar was seen congratulating Chakri for his feat after the movie's screening. He also extolled Ravichandran for making the right choice, according to sources present at the event. With Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah in the lead, Billa 2′s audio release is expected soon.

Vishnuvardhan Confident On Ajith & Arya

Vishnuvardhan, the ace director is confident about the combo of Ajith and Arya in their forthcoming untitled film that will cast Nayantara and Tapsee as the female leads. Speaking to media in an interview, Arya said, "I'm a big fan of Ajith. He has no ego and down to earth person. Ajith interacts with his co-stars and everyone in the sets in the same way, whether it is an actor or a technician. Every word comes from Ajith's mouth will be filled with affection. When I wished Thala on his birthday, Billa 2 star happily said, "Vishnuvardhan opines our combo is going to rock on screen."." Arya added saying, "Vishnu is a very good friend of mine. I'll never mind if he asks me to act as a junior artiste either." Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the background for this untitled film, while P.S. Vinodh will crank the camera, A. Sreekar Prasad will take care of editing department, Sunil Babu's art direction, Suba will pen the dialogues and Anu Vishnuvardhan will handle the costume designs among the technical crew. This yet-to-be-titled movie is gearing up to hit the floors from 31st of this May in Mumbai.

Ajith's next a telugu remake ?

The buzz from Kollywood is that Thala Ajith Kumar's next directed by Siva is a remake of telugu film 'Daruvu' which again is directed by Siva himself. The film which released a few days ago is planned to be remade in Tamil.  The telugu film starred Ravi Teja and Tapsee in the lead roles and is said to be a masala entertainer.

Ajith’s Billa 2 Movie Release Date Confirmed

Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan and Bruna Abdullah starrer Billa 2 is all set to hit the screens worldwide on 15th of this June. Chakri Toleti is directing this commercial action entertainer Billa 2 produced by Sunir Kheterpal under In Entertainments banner. It was earlier reported that makers are planning to release Billa 2 on 8th of June, if they complete the post production works and censor formalities by the end of this May. But director Chakri Toleti and music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja are busy with the final mixing works in Mumbai. Billa 2 unit is said to be working 24/7 to complete these re-recording works.Meanwhile makers are planning to release a grand new theatrical trailer of Billa 2 in the first week of June, which is being cut in Mumbai now. Aascar V Ravichandran is presenting Billa 2 on his Aascar Films banner all over Tamil Nadu. While SVR Media is distributing 'David Billa', the Telugu version of Billa 2 in Andhra Pradesh, Leader Films will theater it in Karnataka and overseas rights of Billa 2 are with GK Media.

Ajith's next with Vishnuvardhan that will go on floor this 30th has already started making buzz. The untitled Vishnuvardhan project with Ajith in the lead has been making news. The cast list is getting stronger and more interesting. A new trailer including song clippings are also getting ready to be unveiled a week before release. Director Selva denied reports on his efforts to remake Rajini - Kamal's classic Ninaithale Inikkum with Ajith - Vijay.

This is the big fat rumour that's making its rounds in tinselville. The two hot stars of K'town — Ajith and Vijay, are coming together for the remake of the cult classic movie Ninaithale Inikkum that featured the two biggies Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth in the lead. The flick was directed by K. Balachandar, the man who introduced the two iconic stars to the film industry. Jayapradha, the heroine of the movie, was critically acclaimed for her beauty and performance. Reportedly, the man who is going to wield the megaphone is ace filmmaker Selvah, who introduced Ajith to Tamil with Amaravathi. It is learnt that Selvah met Ajith recently, and in the course of their conversation, Thala expressed his desire to work in Selvah's direction and wished it could be in the Ninaithale Inikkum remake. Selvah has already tasted success with the Naan Avanillai (again directed by KB) remake, and is quite familiar with the nitty gritty. The buzz is that while Ajith will play the role of Kamal, Selvah is making a lot of changes to Rajini's character, which merelycomplimented Kamal's in the original.He aims to make it equally important to the main lead, and then approach Vijay to play it. However, when Selvah was contacted by this newspaper, he was furious about miscreants who spread such false rumours."It is funny how people's imaginations run wild — there's not an iota of truth in it. First of all, it's been a long time since I met Ajith. So, it is an absolutely baseless rumor and there's no such movie in the offing." Billa 2 has been shot over 103 days across Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Goa, Mumbai, Kashid and Gerogia. 'The producers have left no stone unturned in ensuring that the film got all the crew support it required to accomplish the vision behind the final product,' says Chakri, the director. Jaika Stunts of Thailand was roped in for hand to hand stunts while Action Concept, the Germany specialist company in the field of action was roped in for Georgia based stunt scenes,' he adds. Music is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, who is said to have worked with foreign musicians for this film. All these things have ensured that Billa 2 directed by Chakri Toleti is costliest Ajith film ever made.

The buzz in trade circles is that Aascar Ravichandran who is distributing the film in Tamil Nadu is targeting June 8 as the release day.

The producer of the film Sunir Kheterpal of In Entertainment is playing it down. He says they are busy with post-production work and release date will only be announced after the film is censored.
